What You’ll Do: As a painter, you’ll be part of our Paint Department team located in Willard OH. You’ll get to: - Complete paint production activities, including: - Safe operation of the manual touch up gun; making adjustments to improve quality and operations - Assist in booth setup, gun positioning, and powder flow settings - Appropriate use of PPE, such as: Tyvek suit, hood, mask, and gloves - Implement practices that meet quality standards as it pertains to paint operations - Complete visual inspection of both in-process and finished products - Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet 6S standards (e.g. cleaning, mopping) - Complete powder usage sheets accurately - Complete the color changes of a module (i.e. remove/install filters, remove/clean module hoppers) - Complete the scheduled preventative maintenance for all paint equipment, such as: - Venturies, guns (automatic and handheld), sieve screen, and feed hopper - Report any safety or quality issues to the appropriate personnel - Understand the safe operation of all equipment - Abide by all SBD policies and procedures - Follow all SBD safety rules and regulations - Identify concerns and provide insight for continuous improvement opportunities - Other related departmental duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader Who You Are: You always strive to do a good job…but wouldn’t it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good?
