This is for a long-term opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. As a Cook you will be responsible for assisting the Chef in preparations for the daily meals. Responsibilities for this Cook position include: · Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner · Determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours. · Prepares all special dietary need as directed by the menus. · Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are always upheld. · Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes. · Tastes and prepares food to determine quality. · Maintains or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards. · Assists with orientation and training of new kitchen employees. · Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures. · Attends all in-services as required. · Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling. · Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules. · Washing dishes and pans · Clean and sanitize · Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications: + Excellent Attendance Record + Self-Motivated + High School Diploma/GED + Prior Experience Required + Successful completion of recognized food safety course preferred Shifts will range between 1st & 2nd shifts and will require weekends.
