Employer: Aerotek. **Job Title: Aircraft Structures Assembler – Contract-to-Perm (1st & 2nd Shift)** **Job Description** This contract-to-permanent role focuses on the assembly, modification, and installation of aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies in a climate-controlled production environment. You will work with sheet metal and composite materials, perform complex assemblies and riveting, and ensure all work meets strict quality and customer requirements. The position offers consistent full-time hours on either 1st or 2nd shift with regular overtime opportunities. **Responsibilities** + Assemble, modify, and install aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. + Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to meet all quality and dimensional requirements. + Perform basic sheet metal work, riveting, and complex assembly methods, including complex compound unique shimming and structures assembly. + Complete required data gathering and documentation to accurately record assembly progress and process information. + Set up and operate various shop equipment such as drill motors, countersink cutters, squeezes, drill presses, floor-mounted rivet presses, forklifts, and overhead cranes. + Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure assemblies meet required tolerances and quality standards. + Identify nonconforming parts, conditions, and manufacturing processes and escalate or correct issues as appropriate. + Troubleshoot problems that arise during assembly and proactively suggest and support process improvements. + Perform all required rework or changes incorporated during the assembly process to bring parts and assemblies into compliance. + Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, large structural assemblies, and smaller bench work assemblies, including composite and 787 frames composite assemblies. + Move, stag
