This position suits someone who enjoys physical work, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to build a long-term career in the construction trades through practical, on-the-job experience. **Responsibilities** + Perform general construction labor, including lifting, carrying, cutting, measuring, and assembling materials to support daily job site activities. + Support concrete and asphalt crews with preparation, pouring, finishing, patching, and cleanup to ensure high-quality surfaces and structures. + Assist with site preparation by loading and unloading materials, staging work areas, and maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites. + Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively in accordance with company and safety guidelines. + Follow blueprints, plans, and supervisor instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. + Work alongside skilled trades such as carpenters, equipment operators, and concrete finishers to complete various phases of construction projects. + Inspect tools, materials, and equipment for defects or safety concerns and report any issues promptly to supervision. + Work collaboratively with the crew to meet production goals, quality standards, and project timelines. + Follow all OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of experience working on new construction job sites. + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and working on feet for extended periods. + Experience with general construction work, including site construction and basic carpentry tasks. + Hands-on experience with concrete work, including concrete finishing and handling
