As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will work under the direct supervision of a Manufacturing Team Leader. This position is responsible for performing assembly operations as detailed in the Manufacturing Order and engineering drawing, functional testing of product, and kitting/packaging of hardware for shipment. Individuals must be quality oriented, able to work in a team environment, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. **What You Will Do:** + Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions. + Operates hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment. + Maintains inventory of product in workstations. + Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects. + Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. + Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. + Maintains a clean and safe work area. **Qualification You Must Have:** + Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline **Qualification We Prefer:** + Basic computer knowledge + Use of hand and power tools + Support Customer Demands + Ability to function productively as part of a team + Ability to lift up to 25lbs. + Ability to work in a standing position up to 8 h
