Employer: Aerotek. **Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled Fiber Optic Assemblers with experience in manufacturing or production environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with small parts, wires, and cables, and will receive training on photonic cable assembly specifics. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking is required. **Responsibilities** + Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products. + Maintain a minimum standard quota for job assignments. + Comply with all safety requirements and company policies. + Obtain intermediate-level understanding of assembly tools and their use. + Identify components and gain product knowledge at a entry level. + Measure using standard and metric tools with available conversions. + Perform tasks accurately to ensure quality products. + Report any irregularities to the Production Supervisor or management. + Use basic problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, initiating constructive change. **Essential Skills** + 1+ year of manufacturing experience, preferably in small part assembly. + Experience using hand tools. + Ability to stand for long periods. + Ability to work on Fridays and Saturdays for 5-8 hours. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination. + High attention to detail. + Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. + Basic measurement skills using standard and metric systems. + Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing. + Ability to reason and analyze. + ITAR compliant. **Why Work Here?** The company is involved in exciting R&D projects for the military, offering intriguing opportunities for those eager to learn.
