Employer: Aerotek. **Job Title: Electric Sit-Down Forklift Operator** **Job Description** This role operates an electric sit-down forklift in a fast-paced food manufacturing and warehouse environment, focusing on safe, efficient material handling, loading and unloading, and accurate inventory movement using RF scanners and a specialized track racking system. **Responsibilities** + Operate an electric sit-down forklift safely and efficiently for approximately 85%–95% of each shift. + Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled carefully and positioned correctly. + Move pallets and products in and out of warehouse racking, including working with track rack systems that use sliding tracks instead of standard racks. + Use RF scanners to scan pallets and packages accurately when off the forklift. + Perform picking, staging, and organizing of materials to support shipping and receiving operations. + Support inventory control by accurately scanning and tracking product movement within the warehouse and manufacturing areas. + Follow all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and site-specific safety rules at all times. + Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in both warehouse and production zones. + Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow and resolve any issues with loads, locations, or documentation. + Inspect the forklift before use and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of recent experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. + Proven ability to operate an electric sit-down forklift safely for the majority of the work shift. + Experience with loading and unloading trucks using a forklift. + Ability to use RF scanners to scan pallets and packages accurately. + Basic knowledge of inventory processes and material handling procedures. + Ability to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. + Ability to work a 2n
