Join our Laboratory Team at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively. - Phlebotomy Float Position (Same Campus) - 40 Hours Per Week - 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Monday thru Friday - Holiday Rotation (1 Holiday Per Year) - No Weekends!! Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned. Responsibilities - Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc. - Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate. - Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests. - Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioriti
