Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on performing scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide range of recycling equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation across multiple shifts and locations. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems while working closely with operations staff to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Responsibilities - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on recycling equipment, including balers, conveyors, shredders, sorting screens, optical sorters, eddy currents, and roll stock machinery. - Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns, and take corrective action to prevent breakdowns. - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues to quickly identify root causes of equipment problems. - Conduct minor repairs and adjustments on machinery to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production. - Collaborate with operations staff to identify recurring equipment issues and recommend preventative solutions and process improvements. - Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and PLC-related instructions to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities. - Support the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper configuration and operation. - Coordinate with external vendors on maintenance schedules and service needs to keep equipment in optimal condition. - Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance, repair, and adjustment tasks. - Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and site-specific guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. - Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance processes. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and r
