Employer: Aerotek. Aerotek is currently hiring for a chocolate manufacturing company near Shrewsberry & Affton in southwest St. Louis County! Job Description The Production Operator works on a manufacturing line in a food production facility, learning and performing the full process from mixing ingredients to packaging finished products. Responsibilities - Work on a production line and learn the complete process, including mixing, middle processing steps (such as panning, portioning, baking, extracting, or grinding), and final packaging. - Monitor automated machines throughout the production process and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. - Perform machine setups and changeovers for different products on the line - Measure and weigh product into pre-made boxes with liners, ensuring accuracy and consistency in packing. - Verify that all packaged boxes have the correct labels placed in the proper location, ensuring compliance with product and regulatory requirements. - Measure out ingredients on pallets according to precise batch sheets and pour ingredients into blenders or conches, following written instructions and signing off on paperwork. - Complete all required production paperwork accurately and on time, including batch records, quality checks, and production logs. Essential Skills - At least 6 months of manufacturing experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment - Previous experience performing setups and changeovers on machines - Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. - Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. - Comfort with standing for long periods during 12-hour shifts. - Ability to follow precise written instructions, batch sheets, and standard operating procedures. - Willingness and drive to advance within the company and take on additional responsibilities. - Ability to adhere to strict food safety, health, and safety guidelines.
