Facilities Technician Weekend Shift - 10am-8pm, Thursday-Sunday $28/hr Health, Dental, and Vision Benefits Job Description The Facilities Technician serves as a versatile, hands-on maintenance professional responsible for keeping an aging facility safe, functional, and up to current standards. This role focuses exclusively on building and facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman tasks, in a 58-year-old facility. The technician works independently as a self-starter, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and delivering responsive customer service to building occupants. Responsibilities - Promote a safe working environment by consistently following all safety procedures and guidelines. - Complete preventative maintenance routines on building systems and equipment, ensuring all work is properly documented. - Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to maintain proper operation of systems. - Use appropriate tools to troubleshoot simple AC and DC electrical circuits and perform basic electrical repairs. - Apply basic knowledge of HVAC systems to troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance tasks. - Troubleshoot and repair miscellaneous operational equipment as needed to support facility operations. - Perform repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the building’s physical structure, including walls, floors, and fixtures. - Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, door closers, doors, furniture, and related controllers. - Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, other fire life safety systems, and related building systems. - Maintain and repair plumbing components, including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps. - Prepare, prime, and paint interior and exterior building surfaces to maintain a clean and professional ap
