Job Description The Lead Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing food using standard recipes and production guidelines while following food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The individual in this role should safely handle knives and equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc. The Lead Cook may supervise employees and delegate responsibilities. The responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs. The Executive Dining Room at a prestigious New York City financial institution seeks a skilled cook for immediate hire. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, immaculate work habits and 5 years' experience in a restaurant or hotel fine dining setting. The Executive Dining room serves a weekly changing a la carte menu. High standards for quality and consistency, attention to detail and ability to multitask a must. This is the perfect job for an experienced cook looking for a better work/life balance while still working in a top-quality kitchen. Mondy to Friday AM schedule with holidays off. Some evening events. Compensation Data COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $28.00 to $28.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.
