Employer: Aerotek. Job Title: Electrical Apprentice Monday - Friday $20/hr. - $30/hr. based on experience, no compliance, start as soon as Monday, 6/29! This temporary role offers a one-month opportunity for an Electrical Apprentice to support a small commercial construction project in Ohio. You will assist with demolition, conduit installation, and lighting work while learning directly from an on-site foreman in a hands-on, field-based environment. Responsibilities - Assist with 1–2 weeks of demolition work on a small commercial project, following safety guidelines and instructions from the foreman. - Install straight runs of conduit with hangers over a 2–3 week period, ensuring clean, accurate, and code-compliant installations. - Support the hanging and installation of light fixtures according to project specifications and layout plans. - Work alongside the on-site foreman to complete assigned tasks efficiently and to the required quality standards. - Use basic electrical and construction tools safely and correctly during all phases of the project. - Maintain a clean and organized work area and help ensure that materials and tools are properly stored. - Follow all site safety procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. - Communicate effectively with the foreman and other team members to coordinate daily tasks and resolve on-site issues. Essential Skills - At least 1 year of experience in commercial electrical work. - Hands-on experience working on commercial construction projects. - Ability to install straight runs of conduit with hangers under supervision. - Basic knowledge of electrical construction practices and safety procedures. - Capability to assist with demolition activities in a construction environment. - Ability to follow directions from a foreman and work effectively as part of a team. - Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working on ladders.
