What you’ll do - Safely perform copper cable splicing, troubleshooting, and testing both aerial and underground - Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary - Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation - Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air - Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards - Splice copper cable for underground transfers and help with light laborer duties - Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records - Oversee and guide other onsite workers to ensure tasks are done safely and correctly - Other duties as assigned What you’ll need - To be 18 years of age or older - Authorization to work in the United States for this company - High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience - Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record - Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card - At least four years of experience splicing, placing, and testing copper cables Additional qualifications - Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole clim
