It requires practical skill and knowledge in carpentry, and attention to knowing and using safe work practices. **TYPICAL DUTIES:** 1. *Use carpenter’s tools such as hand and power tools, woodworking machines, levels, routers, sanders, saws, squares; hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, glue. 2. *Measure and mark cutting lines on materials. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements. 3. *Assemble and fasten materials, install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim and hardware. 4. *Build, remove or repair cabinets, flooring, doors, windows, screens, locks, frameworks, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings. 5. *Erect scaffolding and ladders to assemble structures. 6. *Check building ceilings, floors, walls, doors, siding, glass, and woodwork to identify any damage and self-inspect your work to ensure quality carpentry work. 7. *Installs, removes, and repairs walls, patching, ceilings, floors, roofs, decks, stairs, handrails, doors, siding, locks, and glass. 8. *Applies finishing touches by sanding, staining, and painting. 9. *Inspect own work to ensure meets quality standards. 10. *Perform routine preventive maintenance t
