Employer: Amergis. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensed medical professional. The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Maintains patient confidentiality of all clients + Performs duties within scope of practice, as assigned, in an accurate and timely manner + Adheres to facility/client policy, procedures and protocols at all times + Assists doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers with treatments, procedures, and tests being performed in a variety of patient care settings + Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions + Notifies the supervising nurse of any abnormal findings or conditions + Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of all facilities + Other duties as assigned **Minimum Requirements:** + Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years + Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standing + Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable + Current CPR if applicable + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site + Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements + Ability to effectively elicit/provide
