Employer: ASRC Federal Holding Company. ASRC Federal Communications is seeking an Electrician for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located Eareckson Air Station (EAS). This is a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule with 3 months on shift at a time, 1 month off, at Eareckson Air Station (EAS), located in Shemya, AK. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. Transportation to EAS from Anchorage, AK is provided by government sponsored aircraft. This is a negotiated union position. **Position Summary** Provide installation, alteration, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industries. Will be working with power generation and large area power distribution. **Essential Duties & Job Functions** + Responsible for installation and construction with some maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment + Knowledge of the proper use of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants. + Read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, drawings, and specifications. + Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction, including but not limited to: + hydraulic/electric benders, + knockout punch sets, + cable puller, meggers, + hi-pot equipment, + volt meters, + multi-testers + ammeter + Able to set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits and basic understanding to work on systems across the island. **Basic Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED + Valid Journeyman Electrician's License + Ability to perform associated mathematical calculations. + Knowledge of principles and practices of safety management + Strong MS Office and other computer skills + Knowledge of pertinent local, state and federal l
