Employer: Aerotek. **Job Title: 2nd Shift Assembler / Production Operator** **Job Description** The 2nd Shift Assembler / Production Operator plays a key role in the manufacturing of heat exchangers by safely operating hand and power tools, overhead cranes, and semi-automated equipment. This position is responsible for loading and unloading metal plates and products throughout the production process, following standardized procedures, and using touchscreen computer systems to access work orders and operate machinery. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. **Responsibilities** + Safely operate hand and power tools, overhead cranes, and production equipment to support the manufacturing of heat exchangers. + Load and unload metal plates on and off machines and ovens throughout the manufacturing process. + Use touchscreen computer systems to access work orders and operate overhead cranes and production equipment correctly. + Set up and run machines according to work orders, ensuring proper operation and product quality. + Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with safety requirements at all times. + Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and gloves. + Report safety, quality, equipment, or material issues promptly to leadership. + Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement activities. + Support 5S initiatives by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area. + Cross-train in multiple manufacturing processes and assist with process improvements as needed. + Assemble heat exchangers using hand and power tools and support the transition to a semi-automated assembly line. + Stop the production process when safety, quality, or environmental deviations are identified. + Highlight problems and deviations and take ini
