PDS Tech Commercial is hiring for Pipe Fabrication Machine Operators to support one of our clients, the nation's largest distributor of plumbing supplies, waterworks, fire protection, and industrial products. Please Note: This is a non-climate-controlled facility and temperatures can become very hot during the summer months. What You'll Do - Operate pipe fabrication equipment including band saws, pipe threaders, and automatic welding machines - Move loose and bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard - Measure, cut, thread, and bevel pipe to customer specifications - Read and accurately use tape measures and gauges for quality inspections - Assemble customer pipe orders and prepare them for shipment - Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely - Set up and maintain fabrication machinery - Record pipe measurements and production information - Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company procedures - Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED - 6-8 months of recent experience operating industrial machinery , such as: - Band saws - Pipe threaders - Roll groove machines - Automatic welding machines - Plasma cutting equipment - Pneumatic banders - Ability to accurately read a tape measure - Experience using gauges for quality inspections - 3-6 months of forklift experience - Basic math skills - Good computer skills for operating automated machinery - Ability to lift, move, and sort pipe ranging from ½" to 10" - Strong communication skills and ability to work indepen
