Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Superintendent (SS) to serve as the on-site leader for residential earthmoving and environmental remediation projects in Jackson, California and surrounding areas. The Site Superintendent is the primary on-site point of contact responsible for overseeing all project work and must remain on-site throughout active construction operations. This role requires strong field leadership, experience in hazardous waste cleanup oversight, and a thorough understanding of California construction regulations and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing residential earthmoving operations and supervising hazardous waste cleanup personnel while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. General Responsibilities: Field Leadership & Project Execution - Serve as the on-site lead overseeing all project activities. - Maintain full-time on-site presence during active construction. - Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily field operations. - Manage subcontractors, equipment, materials, and workforce scheduling. - Interpret and implement construction plans and specifications. - Ensure compliance with California building codes, labor laws, and safety regulations. - Identify and resolve field conflicts and technical discrepancies. Environmental & Hazardous Waste Oversight - Supervise hazardous waste cleanup personnel and activities. - Ensure compliance with hazardous materials transportation and disposal regulations. - Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and environmental safety standards. - Provide site-specific safety training to field personnel. - Coordinate environmental documentation and regulatory reporting as required.
