This equipment may include fixtures, wiring, pumps, heavy-duty machinery and electrical systems. These professionals most commonly work in commercial or industrial buildings but can also work in other settings. Industrial electricians frequently work in the maintenance and construction industries. **Key responsibilities:** + Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. + Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs. + Perform preventive maintenance
