Job Description The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of a busy dermatology clinic. This position supports providers by acting as a scribe, rooming patients, assisting with procedure preparation, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant also works extensively within electronic medical record and scheduling systems to ensure accurate documentation and efficient patient flow while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere for patients, staff, and providers. Responsibilities + Act as a scribe for providers, accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record systems. + Room patients efficiently, obtain and document relevant medical information, and prepare them for examinations and procedures. + Assist providers with the preparation and setup for dermatological procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready. + Support patient care activities, including basic clinical tasks appropriate to a Medical Assistant or LPN in a dermatology setting. + Use electronic medical record systems to enter, update, and maintain accurate patient information and clinical documentation. + Use scheduling software, including Eclipse scheduling database and MediNotes systems, to manage appointments and support clinic workflow. + Assist with appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and check-out processes as needed to support clinic operations. + Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and other clinic staff to promote a friendly, efficient, and patient-centered environment. + Adapt to a fast-paced dermatology clinic, managing a steady patient volume while maintaining a
