Employer: Insight Global. Job Description An employer is seeking a plumber to assist in Baltimore, MD. They will be responsible for the following: • Perform inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure safety and functionality. • Reads and interprets complex schematic and construction drawings, service manuals and other technical documents. • Follows instructions provided by blueprints, drawings, written materials, work orders and oral instructions. • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses and resolves routine and complex plumbing equipment problems and component conditions. • Adhere to all applicable requirements, including safety standards and local codes. • Interpret diagrams, blueprints and other related drawings. • Inventory and properly track supplies, equipment, tools and machinery. • Communicate with Facilities leadership, other related trades, apprentices and coworkers effectively to promote efficiency. • Trains peer and lower-level positions as directed by supervisor, based on the guidelines of the JHU Apprenticeship program. • Works with the Plumbing Maintenance Workers to requisitions in-house stock items. • Requests non-stock items for purchase subject to supervisor approval. • Makes decisions based on trade practices, National Plumbing Code, and supervisor direction as appropriate for the scope of this position. • Plans and estimates the materials and labor required to perform demand work and construction projects. • Actively engage Plumbing Maintenance Workers into skills-based training activities to build their knowledge and effectively train them for growing skills independence. • Recommends and participates in departmental plumbing operations development, improvement, and implementation as it relates to current/anticipated workload. • Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.
