General Production Worker- $20/hr Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work as a shop laborer in a busy manufacturing environment, performing a variety of general production tasks. You will support day-to-day operations by cleaning work areas, handling materials, using hand and power tools, and learning to operate industrial machinery once fully trained. Candidates with experience in manual labor, general production, and experience with tools such as sanders and grinders will thrive in this position. Responsibilities - Perform general labor and production duties in a shop/manufacturing environment. - Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized workspace. - Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as sanding, grinding, and deburring steel components. - Assist with operating manufacturing equipment, including industrial machinery, forklifts, and sanding/grinding equipment, after proper training. - Handle materials and components throughout the production process. - Read and interpret tape measures accurately to support precise measurements and production work. - Support machine operation under guidance, following all safety procedures and work instructions. - Contribute to overall shop productivity by completing assigned tasks efficiently and reliably. Essential Skills - 2+ years of experience working in a shop environment as a laborer or production worker. - Experience operating manufacturing equipment such as industrial machinery, forklifts, or sanding/grinding tools. - Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or shop setting. - Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. - Comfort performing manual labor in a large shop or manufacturing environment. - Ability to follow safety protocols and work instructions while operating equipment and tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications - 1+ year of experience sanding or grinding steel components. - Experience operating various shop machinery
