Employer: Aerotek. **Job Title: Construction Demolition General Laborer** **Location: Des Moines** + Role Summary: This position supports interior and exterior demolition projects by handling debris removal, site cleanup, and general labor tasks. Work is physical, fast‑paced, and performed in varying weather conditions as part of a small field crew. ***Key Responsibilities:** + Perform site cleanup after demolition work. + Load and haul debris using wheelbarrows and dispose of materials in dumpsters. + Sweep, vacuum, and maintain clean work areas. + Assist with interior and structural demolition as directed. + Meet at the shop daily around 6:45 a.m. to ride with the crew to job sites. + Work upright for long periods while lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving materials. + Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE. + Work with a crew of 5–8 to complete daily tasks. + Travel to different job sites as needed; occasional overnight work may be required. + Help load/unload tools at the shop at the end of each day. + Maintain reliable attendance and be available for extended hours and Saturdays. + Follow dress code (steel‑toed boots, work‑appropriate clothing). ***Essential Skills** + 6+ months of construction, demolition, or physical labor experience. + Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs when needed. + Able to work 8–12 hour days, Monday–Saturday. + Reliable transportation to the shop each morning. + Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather. + Basic experience with sweeping, lifting, hauling, and wheelbarrow use. + Able to follow instructions and work well within a small crew. + Strong work ethic with consistent attendance. ***Additional Skills** + Experience in demolition, construction, landscaping, or general labor. + Familiarity with basic tools and equipment. + Willingness to travel overnight when needed. + Ability to adapt to changing job sites and tasks. ***Why This Job Appeals to Candidates** + Steady overtime opportunities for higher
