Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Job Description This role leads and supervises a team of maintenance technicians responsible for maintaining multiple properties, including commercial buildings and apartments. You oversee daily maintenance operations, ensure building systems function safely and efficiently, and coordinate both routine and emergency repairs. You play a key role in preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, and collaboration with vendors and construction teams to keep all facilities in excellent condition. Responsibilities - Lead and supervise a team of six maintenance technicians across ten properties, including commercial and residential buildings. - Schedule, assign, and oversee daily maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs. - Monitor and maintain building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to ensure safe and efficient operation. - Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are prepared quickly and to a high standard for new residents. - Perform drywall hanging, painting, and replacement of doors and door hardware as needed. - Replace and repair light fixtures and electrical outlets in accordance with safety standards. - Conduct regular inspections of properties, buildings, and grounds to identify repair needs and safety concerns. - Respond to and prioritize service requests, including urgent and emergency repairs, to minimize downtime and inconvenience. - Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams for larger repairs, capital projects, and specialized work. - Perform appliance repairs and ensure all appliances function correctly and reliably. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs as part of the preventive maintenance program. - Support a culture of safety by identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and following established safety procedures.
