Employer: Aerotek. **Assembly Technician – Aerospace Structural Components** **Job Description** This role focuses on assembling structural units, parts, equipment, and components for aerospace applications by following detailed blueprints and specifications. You will use a variety of hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment to build, align, secure, and inspect subassemblies and finished units while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. **Responsibilities** + Assemble structural units, parts, equipment, and components according to blueprints and specifications using hand tools and power tools. + Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies securely. + Drill holes in structures and subassemblies and attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installations or fasten subassemblies. + Locate and mark reference points and holes for installation of parts and components using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments. + Inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards using measuring instruments and test equipment. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 6 months of assembly experience for level 1 roles, 1 year of assembly experience for level 2 roles, or 3 years of assembly experience for level 3 roles. + Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly using hand and power tools. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions accurately. + Basic math skills to support measuring, layout, and verification tasks. + Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production or assembly line environments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Aerospace assembly experience is preferred and considered a strong asset. + Experience working in a machine shop that manufactures structural parts is beneficial. + Familiarity with applying sealants or paint to meet customer specifications. **Why Work Here?** Employees benefit from a
