The Southern California Equitable Building Decarbonization (SoCal EBD) program is a groundbreaking, one-of-a-kind direct install initiative developed and led by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and Los Angeles County (LAC). Designed to advance equitable climate action, SoCal EBD focuses on reducing building carbon emissions while increasing access to clean energy solutions for underserved communities. With its community-centered approach and innovative delivery model, the program sets a new standard for public-purpose energy initiatives in the region. The Construction Project Manager (CPM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing residential retrofit projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and effective project delivery. The CPM is a local, culturally sensitive professional with experience in retrofits, contractor management, and residential code compliance. Their responsibilities include coordinating and constructively challenging contractors, maintaining honesty and a positive reputation, communicating clearly and responsively, and supporting program participation efforts. The success of residential retrofit projects hinges on effective project management, clear communication, and strong contractor oversight. To ensure high-quality outcomes, we are seeking a Construction Project Manager (CPM) with a strong background in residential retrofits and remodels.
