Employer: Aerotek. **Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** This role involves working on a first-shift schedule as part of a collaborative maintenance team to perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment. You will help keep production equipment, vehicles, forklifts, and related systems in reliable working condition by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues while supporting smooth day-to-day operations. **Responsibilities** + Inspect and perform routine maintenance on machinery, vehicles, forklifts, and other production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. + Carry out preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. + Identify mechanical problems visually and through the use of computer diagnostic equipment, and determine appropriate repair solutions. + Repair and replace mechanical components, including parts related to hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical systems. + Monitor and maintain parts and equipment inventory, including tracking usage and coordinating replacement of components as needed. + Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to plan, prioritize, and complete maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner. + Communicate regularly with production workers to understand equipment issues, ensure they have what they need, and minimize disruptions to operations. + Support safe work practices by using appropriate tools and techniques and following established maintenance and safety procedures. + Assist with general upkeep of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment to maintain an organized and safe workspace. **Essential Skills** + Hands-on maintenance experience working with equipment and machinery in an industrial or similar environment. + Proven experience performing preventative maintenance on production equipment or related machinery. + Solid knowledge of mechanical systems
